San Luis, Arizona - Arizona Public Service (APS) has scheduled a planned power outage to begin on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. and is expected to conclude by Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 2:00 a.m., lasting approximately 4 hours. The planned power outage will allow APS crews to safely complete system upgrades in the area.
Affected Area: Residents, businesses, and public facilities located within the radius of Union Street to Cesar Chavez Boulevard and from 4th Avenue to 6th Avenue.
According to APS, this planned outage is necessary to complete important equipment upgrades that will improve service reliability for residents. While APS makes every effort to minimize disruptions, power restoration times may vary due to weather or other construction-related conditions.
Residents within the affected area have been notified directly by APS. To minimize inconvenience, APS recommends the following precautions prior to the scheduled outage:
- Keep refrigerators and freezers closed as much as possible
- Remove your vehicle from garages or shops equipped with power doors
- Turn off or unplug sensitive electronic equipment, such as computers, audio/visual equipment, etc.
- If applicable, notify your security monitoring company
- Make appropriate arrangements if you have special conditions that may be adversely affected by an electrical outage
