San Luis, Arizona - The City of San Luis is currently seeking motivated and community-minded applicants to serve on three important boards and commissions: the San Luis Employee Benefit Trust Board, the San Luis Facility Development Corporation, and the San Luis Industrial Development Authority.
Each commission consists of five to six members who serve on a volunteer basis and meet at San Luis City Hall as needed. These boards play a vital role in shaping the city’s programs, projects, and economic growth.
Applications will open Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and will remain open until Monday, May 18, 2026.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Employee Benefit Trust Board: Trustees oversee and administer health benefits for eligible city employees, elected officials, and their dependents. Trustees ensure proper management of the fund, make informed decisions to safeguard its integrity, and support the continued delivery of quality employee health benefits. (3 seats open)
- San Luis Facility Development Corporation: Directors help oversee the financing, ownership, and operation of public projects within the State of Arizona that support economic development in the City of San Luis and Yuma County. The Corporation also provides facilities, equipment, and related infrastructure to advance community and economic growth. (4 seats open)
- Industrial Development Authority: Directors support the acquisition, ownership, construction, leasing, sale, and disposition of properties to promote industry and develop trade. The Authority works to attract and retain manufacturing, industrial, and commercial enterprises in San Luis, Arizona, and to stimulate and encourage the growth of all types of businesses within the city.
