San Luis, Arizona—The City of San Luis is proud to announce the successful completion of a streetlight project that enhances safety and visibility along the 6th Avenue corridor. As of December 2024, the city has installed 20 new streetlights, representing a total investment of approximately $164,000.
This collaborative project involving the City Council, City Administration, Finance Department, Public Works, Core Engineering, and the APS team has earned numerous compliments from residents who appreciate the improved lighting and the sense of safety it brings to the area. Installing these streetlights is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to enhance community safety and well-being.
Building on the success of the 6th Avenue project, the City of San Luis is currently working on two additional lighting initiatives. The first will occur on County 22nd Street (between 4th Avenue and Sidewinder Road), and the second will occur on 10th Avenue (between Cesar Chavez Boulevard and County 22nd Street).
