San Luis, Arizona— As the City of San Luis continues to expand and rapidly grow, so do emergencies and calls to service. To keep up with our community needs, the City of San Luis Fire Department had the privilege of enrolling eight Firefighters in Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College’s Paramedic Academy.
Our eight Firefighters attended class for ten months. In those ten months, they participated in approximately 960 lecture hours and a minimum of 200 clinical hours. This does not include all the required study time and all additional hours to complete the milestone. Throughout this period, these eight dedicated firefighters continued serving their community on the frontline.
We are proud to announce the following Firefighters who completed the program and graduated on October 28, 2024:
- Beatrice Ortiz
- Rhiordan Pope
- Mitchell Grew
- Eric Sanchez
- Mark Rivera Jr
- Salvador Estrada
- Martin Piñon
- Victor Navarrete
These additional firefighters who are certified as paramedics will enhance the City of San Luis Fire Department's ability to continue providing critical and needed service.
