[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Independence Day in San Luis, Arizona!

4th of july freedom celebration

San Luis, Arizona—Mark your calendars! The City of San Luis' Annual 4th of July Freedom Celebration returns to Joe Orduño Park on Thursday, July 4, 2024, starting at 6:00 p.m., with the best fireworks show in Yuma County beginning at approximately 9:45 p.m.

Experience live musical performances by Mal Bicho, Kings of Queen, and Mi Banda el Mexicano de Casimiro. There will also be free attractions and entertainment for the kids, including carnival games, a rock-climbing wall, a train, and a foam party. The Admission fee is $1.00, and children under three enter free. Don't miss out!

Bring your appetite, as we will have a diverse food option from more than 40 local vendors throughout the park and FREE watermelon while supplies last. Vendors will accept card and cash payments; no ATMs are available on site.

5:30 p.m.: Doors open

6:00 p.m.  - 7:00 p.m.: Kids area reserved for Neurodivergent Kids

6:00 p.m.: Event Introduction

6:30 p.m.: Miss San Luis Damara Rodriguez's introduction and Special announcements

6:45 p.m.: Los Fabulosos Cadillacs Tribute by Mal Bicho

8:10 p.m.: Queen Tribute by The Kings of Queen

9:30 p.m.: Mayor and Council Message

9:35 p.m.: San Luis Police Department Color Guard

9:40 p.m.: National Anthem performed by Luz Rios

9:45 p.m.: Fireworks Show

10:00 p.m.: Mi Banda el Mexicano de Casimiro

 

Parking: Please note parking at Joe Orduño Park is reserved for vehicles with handicapped plates and tags only. 

Traffic Restrictions: Please plan for a 20-30 minute delay. Starting at 5:00 p.m., the San Luis Police Department will be closing traffic going east on Cesar Chavez Boulevard from Main Street, westbound on Cesar Chavez Boulevard from William Brooks, and westbound on Union Street from 4th Avenue.

Items not permitted at the event include coolers, glass containers, alcohol, firearms, outside food, outside alcohol, contraband or illegal substances, personal drones, fireworks, and unauthorized vendors.
