San Luis, Arizona – The City of San Luis is commemorating the opening of the Fleet Services building, located at 1223 N. McCain Avenue in San Luis, Arizona. Its new 10,684 square foot facility will serve as a centralized hub for the maintenance and repair of more than 400 city vehicles and equipment.
The Fleet Service Division provides preventative maintenance and repair services for city vehicles and equipment, including inspection, general maintenance, repairs, and installation of other equipment, such as installing emergency lights on all response vehicles.
“Our Fleet Services team of four play a pivotal role in keeping our city equipment running smoothly and ensuring our vehicles are on the road, ready to serve our community,” stated Public Work Director Eulogio Vera. “This accomplishment has been years in the making; the new facility will allow our operations to continue exceeding our customers’ needs so that they can best serve the citizens and visitors of the City of San Luis for many years to come,” he added.
“This building represents the cornerstone of fleet services and reinforces what the San Luis Fleet Services team strives to do every day,” stated Mayor Nieves Riedel. “This cutting-edge facility will bring critical services in-house, reducing our reliance on external resources and, in turn, safeguard taxpayers’ dollars,” she added.
