“We are looking to enhance the Senior Center facility for our senior citizens,” said Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. As part of their regular activities they can come to the center and enjoy cultural, educational, nutritional, and recreational events. “Our senior citizens are valued members of our community, and we want to improve the Senior Center so that they will enjoy socializing here even more,” he added.

“People need a place where they can feel like home and this center offers that. It brings community seniors together and helps foster new friendships,” said the Senior Services Director, Aracely De La Hoya. The floor and ceiling renovations will beautify the center and will continue to offer a place where our seniors can learn, dance and have fun.

The San Luis Senior Center is regularly open Monday thru Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The center consists of physical activities, arts and crafts, singing and dancing, playing games, breakfast and lunch served daily. The center is located at 790 E. Juan Sanchez Blvd., in San Luis, Arizona. The telephone number to the center is (928) 341-8582.
