San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis is warning the public of recent water filter sales scam. Allegedly water filter companies are using the City of San Luis as a front to sale their equipment. It has been reported to the City of San Luis Public Works Department, that an individual claimed to be working for the City of San Luis in efforts to sell water softeners. The number that appeared in the caller ID was from Quality Water HP 562-928-9846.
Residents please be aware that the City of San Luis does not sell any kind of water filter equipment and the only time that city personnel performs water quality tests is at the customers’ requests. If you would like to validate and/or verify these visits feel free to contact the City of San Luis Utilities Department at (928) 341-8570.
It is recommended that anyone receiving a telephone call inviting to purchase equipment from the City of San Luis should refuse the request and report the scam to the City of San Luis Police Department at (928) 341-2420.
