San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis finalized its Manganese Water Filtration Project. The City invested $2.1 million dollars in a water treatment system to enhance water quality in, east San Luis area.

In combination with a 16” water line funded by NAD Bank, said water line connects the east and the main portions of San Luis, providing a source of water and sustainability for future population, business and industrial growth.

The new filtration system produces up to 3.1 million gallons of water daily. The City of San Luis currently has a 100 year adequate water supply certification from Arizona Department of Water Resources.

“This is an enormous contribution to the city as it benefits the city itself by enhancing future infrastructure as well as all of its residents by improving our clean water services” said Mayor Gerardo Sanchez.
