San Luis, Arizona - The City of San Luis is proud to announce the establishment of its very first Engineering Department, led by newly appointed City Engineer Tomas Sanchez. This department is dedicated to bolstering infrastructure development and project management capacities. This marks a significant milestone in the city's commitment to fostering growth and improving services for its residents.
The Engineering Department aims to improve the city's physical assets through careful planning, execution, and oversight while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and addressing community needs. This initiative reflects the city's dedication to strategic growth and operational efficiency.
Under the leadership of City Engineer Tomas Sanchez, the department consists of a skilled team, including the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and a CIP Inspector/Senior Engineering Technician.
"Mr. Tomas Sanchez's expertise and experience will play a crucial role in streamlining project management and increasing efficiency in delivering essential services to the community," stated Acting City Manager Jenny Torres. "I am confident he will take on the challenges that this position offers and produce successful capital projects for the community," she concluded.
