San Luis, Arizona – During the Council Meeting of December 11, 2024, Mayor Nieves Riedel and the City Council appointed Council Member Tadeo Azael De La Hoya to serve as Vice Mayor for the City of San Luis.
During the Council Meeting, Council Member Maria Cecilia Cruz moved to designate Council Member Tadeo Azael De La Hoya as the Vice Mayor; the motion was seconded by Mayor Nieves Riedel and approved with a five-to-two vote.
Vice Mayor Tadeo Azael De La Hoya was elected to the San Luis City Council in 2020 and is currently serving his first year. Prior to serving on the City Council, Vice Mayor De La Hoya served as the City Administrator and held various titles as a city employee.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the City of San Luis and taking on this new role,” said Vice Mayor Tadeo Azael De La Hoya. “I look forward to working with my fellow council members and the community to address our challenges and to foster growth and development in our city.”
