San Luis, Arizona—The City of San Luis Public Works Department is pleased to announce the commencement of vital water infrastructure improvements along the south side of Cesar Chavez Boulevard. Work on the Boulevard will continue in the following months in preparation for the Expansion Project.
The project will focus on replacing aging pipe systems, installing new gate valves waterline tie-ins, and installation of 6" water services. These enhancements are crucial to ensuring our community receives safe and adequate water service and preparing for the upcoming Cesar Chavez Boulevard Expansion Project.
Key features of the project include:
- Installation of about 2,600 LF of new 12" watermain, valves, and appurtenances.
- Minor traffic interruptions are scheduled to occur at the intersections of 4th Avenue, 5th Avenue, and 6th Avenue.
