Nighttime Southbound Lane Reductions and Northbound Vehicle Traffic Shifts
Planned at San Luis I Land Port of Entry

Temporary roadwork and traffic shifts affect privately owned vehicles from September 16-20 and September 23-27

SAN LUIS, Ariz.  The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announces temporary nighttime roadwork in the privately owned vehicle (POV) lanes at the San Luis I Land Port of Entry in Yuma County, Arizona. This work is planned for weeknights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from September 16-20 in the southbound direction and from September 23-27 in the northbound direction. This roadwork is part of the $307.5 million Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funded port modernization and expansion project that broke ground in June 2023.

 

What’s Happening

 

SOUTHBOUND

What:  Temporary reduction from three lanes to one lane for southbound privately owned vehicles. 

Where: Between Archibald Street (at B Street) and the southbound inspection canopy at the San Luis I LPOE.

When: Weeknights from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. from September 16 to 20, 2024

NORTHBOUND

What:  Temporary shift of the two privately owned vehicle lanes (the number of lanes will not be reduced) 

Where: Between the northbound inspection canopy and Urtuzuastegui Street at the San Luis I LPOE.

When: Weeknights from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. from September 23 to 27, 2024
