San Luis, Arizona—The City of San Luis Parks and Recreation Department has received a generous $10,000 donation from Campesinos Sin Frontera's Thrive Program. This donation will enhance recreational and cultural opportunities for youth in our community.
This contribution will allow residents between the ages of 11 and 18 to participate in a variety of programs offered by the city throughout the year. In previous years, the city has been able to offer 200 free memberships, each valued at one hundred dollars. This funding will not only allow us to continue these efforts but will also allow our Parks and Recreation Department to expand the reach of our programs significantly.
A portion of the donation will continue to facilitate collaboration with the Campesinos Sin Fronteras San Luis Youth Leadership Institute to create murals throughout the city. This will bring art and culture closer to our community and provide our youth with a platform to express their creativity.
"We are immensely grateful for the generosity extended by the Thrive Program and are enthusiastic about the significant positive impact this collaboration will foster among our young residents and the broader San Luis community," stated Angelica Roldan, Director of Parks and Recreation. "We look forward to continuing to work together!" She added.
Campesinos Sin Fronteras Thrive Program aims to enrich the lives of young community members by providing them with essential physical, social, and intellectual health and wellness skills. This partnership has been flourishing for several years, and this latest contribution is a testament to their commitment to the youth of San Luis.
