[ARCHIVED] San Luis Officially Launches Border Wait Cameras

default

San Luis, Arizona – The City of San Luis has officially launched its live border wait camera feed to provide real-time information on the San Luis I Port of Entry wait. The images captured by the cameras will be available on the City's official website at https://sanluisaz.gov/bwc.

As a border community and with the active construction happening at the San Luis Port of Entry I, the City of San Luis has begun transmitting live traffic transmissions facing North and South of Main Street in part of the City's efforts to improve the travel experience for residents and community members. By providing real-time information about the traffic flow, the City's intent is to provide this service to make southbound travel more convenient.

The City first launched the portal back in October of 2023 and since then has been testing the site to ensure the best experience for all its users; not only will the City's website provide you with access to view the current border wait times, the live transmission, but you will also find significant city news and updates.

"As we launch this project, we are already working on finding ways to improve it and make it a better experience for all its users," stated Derek Duenas, IT Manager. "Thank you to our community members for all the feedback and support provided while we tested and prepared the site for its official launch," he added.

"The City of San Luis is excited to launch this low-cost high impact project officially," stated Acting City Manager Jenny Torres. "We look forward to continuing to grow and develop our services to our community," she added.
