San Luis, Arizona — During the Regular Council Meeting of November 30, 2022, Council Member Tadeo Azael De La Hoya was elected unanimously to serve as the city's representative to the San Luis Employee Benefit Trust Board. The boards later appointed him as Chairman of the board on December 21, 2022.

"With my experience in preparing employees benefits plans as an employee for over a decade, I look forward to continuing to provide my expertise and insight as Chairman," he stated. "It is an honor to continue to serve," he added.

The San Luis Employee Benefit Trust was formed to provide health benefits to city employees and their dependents. The trustees make recommendations to the City Manager on the self-insurance programs and take all necessary precautions to safeguard the trust's assets.
