[ARCHIVED] R.L. Jones Breaks Ground for Phase II of Magrino Industrial Park Warehouse

Phase 2

San Luis, Arizona — R.L. Jones Customehouse Brokers Inc. has officially broken ground for Phase II of their Magrino Industrial Park warehouse. Situated on east San Luis and just feet away from the San Luis Commercial Port of Entry II, the new warehouse will be linked to Interstate 8 via Highway 195 and will facilitate importing and exporting of goods through Yuma County and Arizona.

The new 40,346 square feet dry warehouse will have 18 loading docks and is designed to be partitioned in sections of 20,000 square feet each. The building will be energy self-sufficient with LED motion sensor illumination. DeNise Builders are the General Contractors and is scheduled to be completed by the second quarter of 2022.

This project is part of four phases. Phase I was completed and began operations on December of 2017. This building consists of 48,212 square feet of a combination of both dry and wet freezers, which are energy self-sufficient, with a 482 Kw Solar Powered system.

“We could not be more excited to have R.L Jones breaking ground on this new 40,346 square feet facility in East San Luis” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “This investment will help promote economic development in our community and will help improve logistical opportunities for efficient binational trade,” he added.

R.L. Jones is known as one of the most highly automated brokers in the United States. They have offices located on both sides of the border and serve the Southwest Arizona- Sonora trade community with a wide range of services in order to facilitate the trade of the Maquiladora Industry and vegetable and fruit producers located in North-East part of the state of Sonora and Baja California.
