[ARCHIVED] Groundbreaking For Labrie Enviroquip Group In Magrino Industrial Park

San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis is glad to announce Labrie Enviroquip Group has officially broken ground in the city’s Magrino Industrial Park. The group is a top tier manufacturer of equipment for the solid waste industry in North America whose brands include Labrie, Leach, and Wittke.

Labrie Enviroquip Group distributes and supports its products through a strong distributor network that covers the United States and Canada. They differentiate themselves from other companies by being the only manufacturer to develop standard-setting technology through design, and by investing heavily in research and development.

The manufacturer has had an operating facility in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico for over twenty (20) years, employing over two-hundred and fifty (250) workers.

Labrie Enviroquip Group purchased a site at the Magrino Industrial Park to construct an eighty-three thousand square feet (83,000 sq. ft.) manufacturing building, investing $6 million, resulting in the creation of thirty-five (35) jobs in the community. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021.

“We could not be more excited to See Labrie Properties breaking ground on this new 83,000 sq. ft. facility in San Luis Arizona.  The continued high demand for Labrie products has escalated our expansion efforts in all of our US and Canada facilities, with a goal to increase production by 35% in the next 12 months. This facility would allow full manufacturing capabilities in the Southwest U.S. much the same way as we have in our Southeast U.S., Canada and Mexico operations” said Diana Grootonk, CEO Labrie Environmental Group.

“As a member of the Greater Yuma Port Authority it is rewarding to see that our mission to be a gateway for global trade is being accomplished,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “This investment will help promote economic development in our community and bring quality jobs to our region,” he added.
