San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis’ Annual Water Quality Report is now available on the City of San Luis Website. The City of San Luis drinking water met all state and federal drinking water health standards.

The City of San Luis’ Annual Water Quality Report, also known as a Consumer Confidence Report,  covers compliance testing completed from January 2019 to December 2019 and includes information on source water, the levels of any detected contaminants, and the City’s compliance with drinking water rules.

The two page Water Quality Report contains short, easy to read sections on water issues, including:

  • A Description of the City’s commitment to water quality.
  • Information on where our water comes from and how it is treated.
  • Substances that could be in our water and where they come from.

“It is important that our residents and community members to have tap water that is safe, clean, and reliable. I am delighted to report that the water the City of San Luis supplies to its residents is of higher quality than what the state and federal drinking water standards require,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “Thank you to the City of San Luis Public Works Water Division for working hard to help ensure we provide high quality water for our residents,” he added

The City of San Luis Annual Water Quality Report can be accessed on the City of San Luis Official website at https://www.sanluisaz.gov/DocumentCenter/View/9394/Water-Quality-Report-2019-Web.

The City’s Water Quality Report is required through the Safe Drinking Water Act, a 1974 federal law that works though effectively setting health based standards and regulations and oversees drinking water suppliers. Amendments to the Act in 1986 and 1996 increased the effectiveness and protection of drinking water and drinking water sources.
