[ARCHIVED] San Luis Senior Center Partners with WACOG

The City San Luis Senior Center is collaborating with Western Arizona Council of Government (WACOG) to enhance the services for our seniors.

During the month of June, Mayor and City Council authorized the Director of Parks and Recreation to enter into an agreement with Western Arizona Council of Government (WACOG) to provide congregate meals for the San Luis Senior Center, which included a 2014 van the San Luis Senior Center could utilize.

While the congregate meals program provides nutritious meals to our seniors, the 2014 van with only 2,000 miles seats six and will be utilized in transporting seniors to their various appointments and activities; a service the San Luis Senior Center already offers.

“Partnering with WACOG has always been something the City of San Luis has done,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to continue working with them and for all the services they have provided to enhance the experience for our residents,” he added.
