San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the Day of the Dead Spooktacular Festival this coming Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Joe Orduño Park in San Luis, Arizona from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This year the Parks and Recreation Department has integrated the Day of the Dead “Dia de Los Muertos” celebration and the annual Spooktacular festival into one event to increment the cultural impact of the event and entertainment.

This event will feature a wide variety of entertainment, contests, games, performances, and vendors.  In addition to the annual Spooktacular haunted house and special presentations from Grupo de Rock del Instituto Kino and Grupo Latino-American from San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora and Grupo Salmar.

“The Day of the Dead Spooktacular Festival will be a delightful and fun event,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez.  He added that combining both cultural events will increase the opportunity for our citizens to enjoy themselves at the event.
