San Luis, Arizona — County 22nd Street from 10th Avenue to 8th Avenue will be closed starting September 1st to October 6th for roadway improvements. 8th Avenue (Sidewinder Road) will be open for local traffic only.
The road improvements project will consist of creating additional turning lanes, regrading pavement, and installing curb and sidewalks. This road project will allow us to better serve our community, creating an improved roadway for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
The City asks for all motorists to obey the reduced speed limits in construction zones. Those using residential streets as detour routes are asked to respect speed limits and be attentive for any pedestrians. Please plan ahead to allow extra time for travel and/or consider using alternate routes.
