San Luis, Arizona — Today, the City of San Luis announces the selection of Mrs. Olivia Jenkins as the new Human Resources (HR) Director.  The City of San Luis had been without an HR Director since 2010.  Mrs. Jenkins has been with the City since 1984 and had overseen the Utilities Department since 2004.

City Manager, Tadeo A. De La Hoya, stated that “Mrs. Jenkins and her experience will improve the services already provided to our staff and community by the HR Department.”  This appointment comes after a promotion process in which Mrs. Jenkins proved to be the right for the position.  Mrs. Jenkins will assure that our staff keeps motivated, engaged and continue their prosperous careers with us, he added.

The department strives to assist city employees with the management of its work settings and organizational vision while improving future work environments. The department assists city staff with implementing cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes necessary to continue providing cutting edge public services.  “There is no doubt that Mrs. Jenkins will do a magnificent job and will continue to be a great asset to the City of San Luis,” said Mayor Gerardo Sanchez.
