[ARCHIVED] New Artificial Turf Soccer Field

San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis hosted an opening ceremony for the first artificial turf soccer field in the city. The San Luis City Council approved this project in April 2016, and it is now an accomplished project. The soccer field is located in the East side of Joe Orduño Park and will now available to the public.

This field is a great addition to the Joe Orduño Park. In the past soccer games have been accommodated at the baseball field. This artificial turf will expand field usage, providing access to both children and adults to a well equipped playing area. “The City Council is really excited to introduce this new field to the community, as the City of San Luis keeps moving forward the recreational areas will continue to move forward too” stated Mayor Sanchez. An average of $135,000 was invested in this project.
