San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to begin with the improvements for 1st Ave; 4th Ave; and Juan Sanchez Boulevard. This project consists of improving the road conditions, storm water drainage, improving the traffic flow and the addition of sidewalks. The improvement project is expected to take three months to be completed.
The City of San Luis Public Works Department began on May 31st, 2016 with the removal of the existent pavement and will continue with the improvements on June 1st, 2016.
“This is one of the major projects that has been approved by City Council and that it does not only change the appearance of our streets but makes them safer for our students walking to school as well as for the general public. “It is a great way to improve the city’s infrastructure for future development” said Mayor Sanchez “The City of San Luis is planning today to impact the future” he added.
