PUBLIC NOTICE
REQUEST FOR ARGUMENTS FOR AND AGAINST THE AUTHORIZATION TO SELL THE REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE SAN LUIS REGIONAL DETENTION AND SUPPORT CENTER TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE VOTERS OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS, ARIZONA, AT AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 2025.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 2362 adopted by the Mayor and Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona (the “City”), on May 28, 2025, a special election in and for the City was ordered and called to be held on November 4, 2025 (the “Election”). Notice of the Election will be given by mailing an informational pamphlet. The pamphlet is to include arguments for and against the following question:
Shall the City of San Luis or the City’s San Luis Facility Development Corporation (“SLFDC”) or both be authorized to sell at public auction all SLFDC’s real and personal property known as the San Luis Regional Detention and Support Center at 406 North Avenue D, San Luis, Arizona pursuant to A.R. S. § 9-403(C) for three years beginning November 20, 2025?
Any person interested in providing any such argument shall submit it to the City Clerk at City Hall, 1090 East Union Street, San Luis, Arizona, before 5:00 p.m., Arizona time, on August 6, 2025.
Under A.R.S. § 19-124(A), each argument filed shall not exceed 300 words and shall contain the sworn statement of each person sponsoring it. If an organization submits the argument, it shall contain the sworn statement of two executive officers of the organization. If a political committee submits it, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee’s chairman or treasurer. The person or persons signing the argument shall identify themselves by giving their residence address and a telephone number, which shall not appear in the informational pamphlet. Any argument that is submitted that does not comply with the above requirements may not be included in the informational pamphlet.

SOLICITUD DE ARGUMENTOS A FAVOR Y EN CONTRA DE LA AUTORIZACIÓN PARA VENDER BIEN INMUEBLE Y BIENES PERSONALES CONOCIDO COMO EL SAN LUIS REGIONAL DETENTION AND SUPPORT CENTER QUE SERÁ CONSIDERADO POR LOS VOTANTES DE LA CIUDAD DE SAN LUIS, ARIZONA, EN UNA ELECCIÓN QUE SE LLEVARÁ A CABO EL 4 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 2025.
Conforme a la Resolución No. 2362 adoptada por la Alcaldesa y los miembros del Cabildo de la Ciudad de San Luis, Arizona (la “Ciudad”), el 28 de mayo de 2025, se ordenó una elección especial en y para la Ciudad, que se llevará a cabo el 4 de noviembre de 2025 (la “Elección”). El aviso de la Elección se dará por medio de un folleto informativo. Dicho folleto incluirá argumentos a favor y en contra de la siguiente pregunta:
¿La Ciudad o la San Luis Facility Development Corporation que es de la Ciudad, o ambas, será autorizada de vender en subasta pública todo el bien inmueble y bienes personales conocido como el San Luis Regional Detention and Support Center en 406 North Avenue D, San Luis, Arizona, de conformidad con el estatuto A.R.S. § 9-403(C), por un plazo de tiempo de tres años empezando el 20 de noviembre de 2025?
Cualquier persona interesada en proporcionar algún argumento de este tipo, que lo entregue a la Secretaría de la Ciudad en el Ayuntamiento, 1090 East Union Street, San Luis, Arizona, antes de las 5:00 p. m., hora de Arizona, el 6 de agosto de 2025.
De acuerdo con el estatuto A.R.S. § 19-124(A), cada argumento entregado se limitará a 300 palabras y deberá contener la declaración jurada de cada persona que lo patrocine. Si el argumento es presentado por una organización, deberá contener la declaración jurada de dos funcionarios ejecutivos de la organización. Si es presentado por un comité político, deberá contener la declaración jurada del presidente o tesorero del comité. La persona o personas que firmen el argumento deberán identificarse indicando su dirección de residencia y un número de teléfono, los cuales no aparecerán en el folleto informativo. Cualquier argumento que se presente y que no cumpla con los requisitos anteriores no podrá ser incluido en el folleto informativo.
