San Luis, Arizona – The City of San Luis is excited to announce the launch of the Pay by Plate parking system in the downtown district, effective immediately. This state-of-the-art system is designed to streamline parking payments and enhance the overall user experience.
The Pay by Plate system allows drivers to use their vehicle’s license plate number to pay for parking, offering a quick and intuitive process. Payments can be made using various methods, including quarters, credit/debit cards, or through the innovative Park Smarter application, accessible on both Android and Apple devices.
The new parking kiosk is conveniently located on the east side of the 500 block of Main Street, right across the street from Mcdonald’s. Patrons will have the flexibility to pay using the Park Smarter Application, credit/debit cards, or by utilizing quarters. The designated areas for the Pay By Plate program are the 500 block of Main St, east side first ¼ of the 600 block of Main St, and the 600 block of B St.
How To Use: The Pay by Plate process is simple, regardless if you are paying at the kiosk or through the mobile app, simply follow the following steps:
- Park in any of the available designated spots
- Enter your license plate number at the pay station or mobile app
- Process your payment with coins, visa/debit card, or via the app
Parking Rate: The parking rate will remain at $.50 per hour per vehicle or motorcycle with a five-hour maximum limit between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Traffic enforcement operations will continue pursuant to the San Luis City Code, Title 10, Chapter 15.
Compliance and Enforcement: The Pay to Park Program operates in accordance with the San Luis City Code, Title 10, Chapter 15, ensuring a fair and orderly parking environment. Residents and community members are still encouraged to utilize the designated drop off zone on Urtuzuastegui Street for the drop-off or pick-up of passengers.
