City of San Luis Introduces Operation Paw Promise

City of San Luis Posted on January 28, 2026

San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis proudly introduces Operation Paw Promise, a community initiative dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership and raising awareness of animal welfare.

Operation Paw Promise reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all types of pets. Through education, outreach, and community collaboration, the initiative aims to empower pet owners with the knowledge and resources they need to provide proper care and well-being for all pets.

Key goals of Operation Paw Promise include:

  • Promoting responsible pet ownership
  • Raise awareness about animal cruelty prevention
  • Encourage community involvement and compassion

This initiative will feature ongoing collaboration with Humane Society and local partners, public awareness campaigns focused on responsible pet care, animal safety tips, and information on how to report and prevent animal cruelty.

Operation Paw Promise represents more than just a campaign; it’s a community commitment to protecting, respecting, and caring for the animals that share our homes and neighborhoods. Here at the City of San Luis and the San Luis Police Department, we take the Paw Promise to treat animals with kindness, protecting their well-being, and take a stand against cruelty.

We invite residents to take the “I Paw Promise,” a community pledge to treat animals with kindness, protect their well-being, and stand against cruelty.  For more information on Operation Paw Promise, please visit: https://sanluisaz.gov/pawpromise.
