San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis is proud to introduce our Landscape Excellence Awards, a new initiative by Parks and Recreation to recognize outstanding landscaping and beautification efforts throughout the city.
Nominations are now open for residents who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to enhancing San Luis's beauty and sustainability through creative, well-maintained landscaping featuring a mix of native and non-native plants. This award celebrates the community’s dedication to green spaces, environmental stewardship, and the overall enhancement of the city’s aesthetic appeal.
“We are excited to launch the Landscape Excellence Awards as a way to highlight and honor the incredible efforts of our residents in making San Luis a more beautiful place to live, work, and visit,” stated Angelica Roldan, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We encourage everyone to participate by nominating deserving candidates who have made a visible impact in our community.
How to Nominate:
- Nominations are open to all households within the city limits.
- Submission can be entered online at sanluisaz.gov/LEA
Selection Process:
- All nominations will be evaluated by a panel of judges using a scoring rubric, assessing elements such as curb appeal and the use of native plant and non-native plants.
- 1 household will be selected on the East Side of San Luis, and another will be selected from the West side of town.
Award recipients will receive a special recognition certificate and yard sign, and will be highlighted on the City of San Luis website and social media channels.
