San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis held a special election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, where voters had the opportunity to cast their vote on the sale of the real and personal property of the San Luis Facility Development Corporation for the San Luis Regional Detention and Support Center and on Proposition 434 - a proposed proposition on the City Council compensation, benefits, and/or travel allowances. The following are the results as of Tuesday, November 4, 2025, 8:16 p.m.
Question 1:
Shall the City of San Luis (“city”) or the City’s San Luis Facility Development Corporation (“SLFDC”) or both, be authorized to sell at public auction all SLFDC’s real and personal property known as the San Luis Regional Detention and Support Center at 406 North Avenue D, San Luis, Arizona, under A.R.S. § 9-403 (C) for three (3) years beginning November 20, 2025?

No 61.10% / 812 votes
Proposition 434:
The Mayor and Councilpersons shall serve without compensation, benefits and/or travel allowances, as a city volunteer subject to all applicable federal and state laws, municipal ordinances and rules and regulations, including conflict of interest and ethics laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. The city shall not reimburse elected officers for any travel, meal, or lodging expenses incurred by the elected officer for any reason. Any and all city laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations adopted by the city setting Mayor and/or Councilpersons compensation, benefits and/or travel allowances are null and void.
