San Luis, Arizona—The City of San Luis is pleased to announce that its Annual Water Quality Report for 2024 is now available online. The report confirms that the City's drinking water meets all applicable state and federal health standards.
This comprehensive Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report, details the results of compliance testing carried out throughout the 2024 calendar year. The City’s Water Quality Report is mandated by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), a federal law enacted in 1974. The SDWA establishes health-based standards and regulations to ensure the safety of public drinking water and oversee public water systems nationwide. Amendments made in 1986 and 1996 enhanced the Act's effectiveness by strengthening protections for both drinking water and its sources. It includes:
- An overview of the City's dedication to maintaining superior water quality.
- Detailed information on the sourcing and treatment processes of our water.
- Insights into potential substances found in the water and their origins.
Emphasizing the importance of water quality for the community, the City of San Luis encourages residents to review the report by visiting https://www.sanluisaz.gov/151/Water-Division. For comments or inquiries, the Public Works Department of San Luis can be contacted at (928) 341-8577.
