You must appear at all court hearings including your arraignment or it may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest and incurring additional charges. If you have civil charges and fail to appear, your driving privileges may be suspended, and you may incur additional fees. You may either file a written motion to continue a court date or come in during the courts' regular business hours and request a motion to submit to the judge.
- Can I change my court date?
-
Changes of court dates will not be handled over the phone. Please contact the court prior to your court date if you need to reschedule your arraignment. All requests for continuances must be made in writing no later than five days prior to the scheduled hearing. Requests are not granted automatically, it is your responsibility to find out if your request has been granted or not.
- How do I find out if there is a warrant for my arrest?
-
You can contact the court to see if there are any outstanding warrants against you.
- How do I find out when I am supposed to appear in court?
-
Your arraignment court date is listed on your citation or release paperwork. All subsequent court hearings are provided to you in writing at a hearing. If you have any questions about your court date, please contact the court at (928) 341-8595.
- When can I see a judge?
-
If you wish to speak to a judge about your or someone else’s case, you may only do so at a scheduled hearing, the judges are not allowed to speak to you otherwise.
